Dance in the middle of the fighting. Dance in your blood.
Dance when you’re perfectly free.”

About Charity

Charity Joy Robinson, known professionally as DJ CJ Fee’ is a multifaceted artist, healer, and movement facilitator who has spent decades blending her passions for music, dance, and holistic practices. She began DJing on vinyl in the late 1990s as a hobby with friends, developing a deep appreciation for the transformative power of music and dance.  Over time and many, many years later she re-connected with  her hobby which evolved into a meaningful tool for connection and healing, and her live DJ sets are now an integral part of her offerings, which inspire joyful release and self-expression.

Charity’s global journey has taken her across the world, where she has taught an array of movement styles, including traditional African dance, hip-hop, breakdancing, azonto, and Indian martial arts, Kalaripayattu. She created “Empowerment Through Movement,” a program designed to inspire children through dance, voice, drumming, and chanting. Charity has introduced these practices into private schools and after-school programs, encouraging young people to embrace free-form and choreographed movement as tools for self-discovery and confidence.

Her spiritual connection to movement deepened over 17 years ago in Thailand, where she discovered the Five Rhythms practice through Gabriel Roth’s Maps to Ecstasy. This experience inspired her to incorporate elements of ecstatic and ritualistic dance into her work. Five years ago, she launched Elemental Ecstatic Dance, which fuses her love for live DJ music with didgeridoo, drumming and elemental rituals inspired by her Wicca and high priestess training. These sessions are designed to connect participants with their innate joy while helping them release old patterns and step into a state of healing and transformation.

In addition to her movement and music expertise, Charity is a highly skilled Thai yoga massage practitioner with over 20 years of experience. She integrates her knowledge of energy healing and bodywork with her movement practices to create a holistic approach to wellness. Her offerings include martial arts, restorative yoga, and magical workshops for children, along with energy healing sessions that incorporate drumming, Reiki, and intuitive guidance.

Now based in Gloucester, Massachusetts, Charity is excited to contribute to the local community by sharing her diverse talents. Whether on the dance floor, in a yoga session, or through hands-on healing, Charity invites individuals to reconnect with their inner strength, peace, and joy.

“My earliest memory of body movement is a photograph of myself when I was six years old in my little gymnastics white leotard standing on a trampoline full of energy, and spirit ready to perform. To this day, I still have that young energetic joyful being within me.  I was always really involved with movement as a child and in my teen years.  A lot of what I do is based around movement in the body of a free form and expression and I could see I had a niche, the joy of movement.”

“Helping people change the way they looked at themselves and how they felt about themselves.”

“The reason that I got into this sort of business was to really help people. I would have to say my main inspiration has always been my mom. Ever since I can remember she was always very active, having an active lifestyle as a yoga instructor, and aerobics instructor when we were growing up.  Still to this day she still inspires me and throughout the years there have been other people who have been inspirational.  The ones who are enjoying the life that they are living and are teaching what they practice.   This inspires me to continue to do the same thin, by teaching from example and being the light that shines.   In the future I see myself continuing this exploration of movement, continuing to share my knowledge of the body, and continuing to facilitate and change more Consciousness on the planet.”
